Kathy Jane Jones

The world lost a truly bright light with the passing of Kathy Jane Jones on June 16, 2025, at the age of 76. A caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathy's kind heart and zest for life touched everyone she met. Born in Delano, CA, on July 23, 1948, Kathy grew up in California, Texas, and Louisiana – graduating with a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Her career was as dynamic as her spirit: a "salesperson of the year" for Kodak, successful entrepreneur, and trusted Farmers insurance agent proudly serving the Midland community for over two decades.

Kathy cherished quality time with her family and RV adventures with her “honey” – from Lake Tahoe to the Florida Keys and everywhere in between. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Jones; siblings Buddy and Debby Wortham; children Lisa Roberts, Mica Crouse, and Courtney Odom; extended family Amy Ahrens, Jeannie Ellison, and Travis, Alice, Scott, Jessica, Rea Dawn, Cory, Lisa, and Danny Jones; fifteen grandchildren; and a circle of friends who will forever miss her big smile and bright blue eyes. All are welcome to pay their respects at the viewing on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 1 PM-8 PM and the funeral service on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
