A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 03, 2026 with Pastor Clydel Chapman at Northside Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. A private burial for the family will be held following the memorial at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
Kathy was born on January 12, 1941 in Colby, Kansas. She was the beloved daughter of Lewis and Fyrma Rose Fannell. She moved to Flagler, Colorado, and eventually made her home in Odessa, Texas. She attended Odessa High School and later married her love, Richard Lightfoot, on June 05, 1956.

She took care of the business books in their home for numerous years. She was a devoted mom, best friend and trusted confidant until her final breath.
Kathy came to saving faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of nine years old. She went on to faithfully serve through musical worship as a church pianist for many decades.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Richard on April 15, 1994, her son, Lee R. Lightfoot, great-grandson, Axton Johnson, her parents Lewis and Fyrma Rose Fannell, her sister Jean, brother Harold and nieces Sharon and Dale.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Clark, her granddaughter Jennifer Lord and husband Robert, grandson James Franklin and wife Nicole, grandson Richard Franklin, grandson Justin Johnson, great-grandchildren, Daniel and Catherine Franklin, Emerson, Hattie, Elzie and Judah Lord, and Audie Johnson, brother Jerry Amos and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the Parks Assisted Living staff. Kathy was dearly cherished and made so many wonderful friends in the last year of her life. She was the cheerful chauffeur for her new friends, a competitive bingo player, and the sweetest encourager to all.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Jesus House Odessa or the charity of your choice.
