Karen Barker

Karen Hamm Craig Barker died on February 20, 2022, at the age of 77 at her residence in Odessa, Texas after battling cancer for several months.

Karen was born on November 11, 1944, in Amarillo, Texas and moved to Odessa in 1949.  She graduated from Odessa High School in 1963 and shortly afterward graduated from Cosmetology School.  She worked at Joe White Lincoln-Mercury for 16 years, for MHMR, and later for Odessa College School of Cosmetology, where she retired after 15 years.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Lois, and R.L. Hamm; and her husband, Charles Barker, who died recently.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelly Magness and husband Kirk; son, George Craig and wife Risa; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Tyler, and Cathy Williams Hawkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who are all blessed for having known her.  She loved and adored them all.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday. February 25, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Donald Bugg officiating.
