Joyce Brandes

Joyce L Brandes ,95, of Odessa, TX, passed away at her home, on August 25, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Joyce Brandes was born in Buffalo, NY to Walter and Bertha Digel on March 1, 1927.  She attended school in Smethport PA. She married Richard Brandes on January 25, 1948, in Smethport, PA. She was a homemaker and served in the “Pink Lady” Auxiliary for 27 years at Medical Center Hospital.  She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 40 years.

Joyce Brandes is preceded in death by her parents; youngest daughter, Christal; her sister Shirley, and husband Richard.

She is survived by daughter, Starr McCann and husband Clifton of Odessa; granddaughters, Christal Spangler and husband Steven of Odessa, Shannon Silhan and husband Randy of Lubbock, and Sherry Piper and husband Vince of Brownwood;great- grandchildren, Trea , Christopher, Samantha, Landry, Raven, and Payton; great-great grandchildren, Gunner, Reid, Alaska, and Ford.

The family of Joyce Brandes wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to friends for their prayers and concerns.  Also, to Home Hospice for the care and devotion given to our loved one.
