Jose Leonel Delao

Jose “Joe" Delao, 83 of Odessa, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, in Odessa Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 25, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Aaron Moroles officiating.  A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Jose Delao was born in Alpine TX to Jose DeLao & Manuela Carrasco DeLao on December 28, 1939.

He graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin.  He worked for Texaco for 26 years.

He was an Army veteran.

Jose is preceded death by his son, Eric Delao; grandson, Brandon Delao; sister, Mercedes Delao; brothers, Henry Delao, Pete Delao and Frank Delao

Jose is survived by his wife, Josephine Delao; sons, Aaron Delao, Dion Delao, Joe L Delao Jr., and Derek Delao; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; two great granddaughters; and one great grandson.
