JoAnn Lane (1936-2026)

With hearts full of gratitude & sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, JoAnn Lane who went to meet her Lord at the age of 90, April 6, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa at 2:00 P.M, April 10, 2026 with Pastor Craig Dearmond officiating.

Our mom was a woman of extraordinary beauty, strength and faith and was a force of nature, unyielding, loving and unforgettable. She was a prayer warrior and her life was a testament of her faith in Jesus Christ by leading others to the Lord.

She was born January 18, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma and moved with her family to Odessa, Texas in 1948.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Lane, Jr., by her father and mother, Alton and Ina Swanson, her brothers, Harold and Bobby Swanson, her sister Norma Wren, her daughter, Donna Stroope, her son, William “Scooter” Lane, her daughter-in-law, Beverly Lane, 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson.

She is survived by her son, Vance Lane, her daughters, Brenda Lee and husband Donald, her daughter Judy Kerr and husband Robert and daughter, Audrey Matthews and husband Tim and 10 grand kids, 16 great grand kids and 5 great-great grand kids.

JoAnn will be severely missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Passmore, Chris Marquez, Nathan Lee, Jarrett Wells, Bronson Wells, Michael Peters, Cole Peters and Justin Young.
