Jimmy Watters

Jimmy Dan Watters passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his home in Odessa, TX. He was born on October 13, 1957, in Levelland, TX.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He owned different businesses throughout his career and his passion was for the oilfield. The only thing Jimmy loved more than the Dallas Cowboys, were his grandchildren, and he would spend as much time with them as he could. On weekends you could find Jimmy with his family cooking out and swimming.  He was known for his sense of humor and outgoing personality, everyone who met Jimmy was already his friend.

Jimmy married the love of his life, Julia, on March 13, 1999, and they have lived together happily in Odessa for the last 24 years. They spent most of their time together, working together for many years, and enjoying each other’s company.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Nola Kay.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Julia; his children, Magan Waldron and husband Klayton, Con Brazeal, Jessica Redman and husband Brian, and Chris Brazeal and wife Rylee; his brother, Kimmy Watters and wife Jana; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and people lucky enough to call him friend. He is also survived by his grandkids, the apples of his eye, Kooper, Catie, Hailey, Hunter, Jude, Nathan, Jackson, and Kendall.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 1st, 2023, at Stonegate Fellowship Church in Odessa with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Jimmy will be remembered for his loving spirit, his kind heart, and his sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
