Jewel Dean Allison 83 of Odessa passed away on January 29, 2008.
She was born on January 14, 1925 in Knox City, TX. Raised in Odessa by her mom and dad, Pearl and Frank Matthews. Her biggest joy was working for Southwest Hospice. She was so proud to be nominated and win the most accomplished certified nurses aide award for the state of Texas. The love and satisfaction she felt working with hospice patients was something she never would stop thinking of talking about. Home Hospice took care of her the last few days she was with us. She passed by with loved ones by her side and with the tender loving care of the staff of Home Hospice.
She is survived by her four children Roy Allison, Frankie Allison, Kevin Allison, and Karen Rodriguez; ten grandchildren, Cody, Cade, Ryan, Chelsea, Kylie, Casie, Austin, Heather, Allyse, and Doug, and two great-grandchildren; Brandon and Braxton.
Visitation will be held Friday February 1, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 2, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
