Jeannine Francille Bingham

November 28, 1935 — February 21, 2026

Odessa

Jeannine Francille Bingham, Servant of Jesus Christ and known by many as a Prayer Warrior, passed away on February 21, 2026. Born on November 28, 1935, in Forsan, Texas to Roy and Bertha Davis.

Her parents moved Jeannine and her 5 siblings to Odessa, Texas in 1940. Jeannine’s older sister, Mary, introduced the family to the United Pentecostal Church on S. Sam Houston and Olive streets; as continued members the family endured the move of the church to the location it still sits today on Jackson and 19th streets. Here, Jeannine received the Holy Ghost and was water baptized in the precious name of Jesus. Through her younger years, Jeannine always remembered this church as giving her some of her most wonderful memories.

On December 1, 1953, in this same church full of family and friends she married the love of her life Grady Bingham. Grady was once a resident in Sweetwater, Texas but years earlier had moved to Wasco, California; while on vacation with his parents on December 5 he moved Jeannine to their residence of 24 years in Wasco. While there they had 3 sons and attended the Jesus Name Church where Jeannine was a Sunday School teacher, Young People Leader, sang solo’s, and kept her sons in the church programs. The raising of her 3 sons over the years was full of laughter, good times, and stories that made her the finest Mother.

Jeannine enjoyed her time in Wasco where she felt it was a friendly town, had good schools, and a good church; but she always had a longing to move back to Texas where her siblings and parents were located. On January 31, 1978, Jeannine finally began the start to the rest of her life in Odessa, where she remained for 48 years.

During the 48 years, one of Jeannine’s many accomplishments was working for the Ector County Independent School District’s Food Service Department where she started in 1978, until she retired in January 2001, working diligently for 23 years. She was very active while in ECISD, so much so that she joined the School Food Service Association. Her tenure and accomplishments while there included: President from 1984 to 1988, District Director of Texas School Food Service Association, attended the American School Food Service Association Conference in Washington D.C., and was elected the Food Service Employee of the year in 1990. Her reach while working there touched the lives of many children and built relationships with colleagues that lasted her entire life.

Her retirement life was filled full of laughter, love, and good times. She spent several days and made many moments with her sisters Evelyn and Sue. Going to church, playing games at each other’s houses, praying, and reminiscing about memories together were how they spent many hours.

Some of the most joyful times Jeannine talked about in her life was being fortunate enough to be a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives. Throughout their younger years they spent every weekend, and all summer, staying at Grandmom’s house. She never wanted to be called a Granny as she said that made her feel old. She served a very vital role that helped lead them to their salvations in Christ. In turn, this led to their children being led to Christ. The memories she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren made moments, smiles, and laughter that set the standard for generations to come.

Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband, Grady Bingham; her parents, Roy and Bertha Davis; her siblings, Mary Thompson, Lavern Davis, Vyron Davis, Evelynn Cupp, and Sue Norwood.

Jeannine is survived by her sons, Mark Bingham, Greg Bingham, and Danny Bingham; her daughters-in-laws, Beth Bingham and Sam Bingham; her grandchildren and spouses, Christopher and Kayla Bingham, Tiffany and Michael Grant; and her Great grandchildren, Tyler Bingham, Landon Bingham, Kylee Grant, and Kenley Grant.
