On January 21, 2026, Jason Paul Harrington lost his courageous battle with cancer. Jason was born on July 13, 1977, to Dale Lee Harrington and Dana Jean Grimes Harrington in Odessa, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Odessa where he graduated from Odessa High School in 1995 and played baseball for the Broncos. He also went on to attend Odessa College and was on the OC rodeo team as a heeler in team roping.
Jason was also an avid Clay Shooter, quickly climbing the ranks to Master Class shooter. He traveled with his shooting buddies all over Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and Florida. Through his years as a competitive Master Shooter, he earned a countless number of buckles and trophies, with the majority being “High Overall” titles in multiple events. In fact, Jason met his wonderful wife, Casey, at a large charity shoot known as the Bad Boy Blast, in 2008.
When he wasn’t shooting, he could be found in his large shop; welding, building, cleaning his guns and watching just about any sport! However, baseball (Texas Rangers) and hockey (Dallas Stars) were always his favorites.
Jason was an amazing girl Dad to his two daughters, Genavieve and Linlee. He was always so proud of his daughters and enjoyed many softball games, gymnastic meets, track meets and dance parties with “his girls”.
Jason is preceded in death by his loving Mother, Dana Jean Harrington, his maternal grandparents, Jesse Taylor III and Mary Evelyn Grimes, his paternal grandparents, Judd Manville Harrington, Marion Alberta Harrington Tiner, Garland Tiner and his cousin, Michael Roger Harrington.
He is survived by his loving wife, Casey Michelle Harrington, daughters, Genavieve Michelle and Linlee Jean, his father Dale Lee Harrington (Cecilia), sisters, Emily Harrington (Chris Phillips) and Sarah Sledge (Michael), niece, Harper Phillips, nephew, Colson Phillips and uncles, Roger Harrington (Jenny), Gary Harrington (Cindy), Taylor Grimes (Heather). Also, cousins, Tiffany Piro (Blake), Taylor Bradley (Aaron), Jack Harrington, and Jill Johnson (Joshua).
