James Melton Tindol

James Melton Tindol, 56, passed away at 10:15 PM on May 30th, 2026.

He was born in Monahans, Texas. James was known for his intelligence, pride, and steadfast convictions. He carried himself with a strong sense of identity and principle, and those who knew him respected his unwavering nature.

James had a deep passion for reading fantasy, RPGs, gaming, movies, music, shooting pool, and golf. He found particular joy in worlds like Final Fantasy, Harry Potter, Forgotten Realms, and The Sword of Truth, among countless other series. These interests reflected his imaginative mind and youthful spirit, which stayed with him throughout his life. He will also be remembered for his devotion to his mother, a bond that remained deeply important to him.

He is survived by his brothers, Gordon and Thomas Tindol; his nephew, Brant Tindol; and his nieces, April Torres and Teysha Tindol.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Foundation of America.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were close to him.
