James Leonard Jones Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Leonard Jones Jr., who departed this life on July 3, 2025, at the age of 91. Leonard was born on May 27, 1934, in Doniphan, Missouri to Bertha and James Jones Sr.

Leonard was a dedicated husband to Norma Jones, his loving wife of 65 years and a devoted father to his 6 children. He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather. Leonard was a hardworking man and true friend to all who knew him.

Leonard is proceeded in death by his father, James Jones Sr.; mother, Bertha Skipwith; daughter, Jaime Borders; daughter, Carolyn Jones; son, Donald Jones.

He is survived by wife, Norma Jones; daughter Shirley Missey; son, James Jones; daughter, Sarah Armstrong; brother, Dale & Marly Jones; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 5 PM- 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
