James Foy

James Michael Foy passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

He was born September 5, 1938, in Ballinger, Texas, to Luna Mae and Marlin A. Foy. He graduated in 1957. After college at North Texas State in Denton, he moved to Lubbock where he met and married Sondra Overton from Denver City. Mike accepted a job with Texas Gulf Producing in Odessa. He was promoted to District Safety Coordinator in the Midland office in 1977, which was then Getty Oil. He trained in 5 different states.

Mike had many other interests. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. First Christian was his religious choice. He loved nice yards, shiny cars and trucks, RVing, Neil Diamond music, and good food! He was also a 32nd degree Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and son, Kyle.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra; daughter, Michele Ashby and Steve, of Georgetown; son, Blake Foy and Denice of Midland; grandchildren, Mindy and Lukas Weeden; great grandson, Tracyn of Round Rock; Maecy Ashby, of Georgetown; Michaela Foy of Dallas; Marlin Foy and Jen of Pflugerville.

We honor his request for no service. In his words, we will meet again in God’s Great Heaven.
