Jackie Barner Voglino

Jackie Voglino, 97 years old, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Odessa, Texas.

 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor, Alan Austin officiating.   Gathering with the family will follow at Sunset Memorial Funeral Homes in the Family Center. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial funeral home.

 

Jackie Voglino was born Hamilton, Texas to James Gelder & Cordelia Barner on 11/23/1926.  She married Albert Frank Voglino on April 23, 1946, in Lampasses, Texas.  She worked at various jobs.  Jackie was a wonderful wife and Mother to her four children.  She was very active in Sherwood Baptist Church.  There were many roles Jackie filled in Sherwood Baptist Church as, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, a Sponsor on many youth trips, cooked and set up of lunches, dinners for church, weddings and funeral service.   Jackie served our Lord in many capacities and was a wonderful example for others.  Jackie favorite roles was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.   She was loved by her four children and adored by her grandchildren.  

 

Jackie is preceded in death by spouse, Albert Frank Voglino; sons, Robert Voglino & Richard F. Voglino; son-in-law, David Freels; her grandsons, David Paul Freels & Bastion Cole Burney; granddaughter, Annah Shalom Voglino; Jackie’s mother, Cordelia Barner; and father, James Barner; her siblings, David Barner, Bill & Jo Barner, Burt Barner, Roy & Geneva Barner, Everett Barner; sisters, Jane & Donald Goode and Susie Barner.

 

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Toni Freels, Roslyn Voglino Austin & spouse, Alan Austin; daughter-in-law, Beth Voglino; brothers, Harold Barner, Peter Barner; and sisters, Jessie Wickliffe & Mertice Barner; grandchildren, April Burney & spouse Brian Burney, Michael Freels, Lisa Russell & spouse, James Russell, Esther Voglino & spouse David Voglino, Jonathan Scott & Shannon Scott and Natalie Scott; great-grandchildren,  Illiana Freels, Ava Jimenez, Amiah Jimenez, Oren Scott and Van Scott. Jackie had many loving Nieces and Nephews
