Helen Montgomery Snyder

Helen Montgomery Snyder was born November 18, 1930, in Lefors Tx to George Alfred Montgomery and Lillie Bell Payne, she passed away peacefully at home at the age of 95.

Helen was a devoted wife, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She spent her early years working with Don Vandiver in the cotton business and working with various organizations within that industry.

She married Glynn Curry Snyder in Lovington NM, April 2, 1971. Glynn preceded her in death September 14, 2008, in Odessa, TX.

Helen graduated from Big Spring High School, Texas in 1948. She attended Austin College in Sherman Texas for 2 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lillie Montgomery, her siblings Maureen Carter, Darlene Reaves also her granddaughter in law Mylissa Taylor and grandson Terry Snyder.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Vandiver Taylor and husband Jim Pelezo of Odessa, Tx, sons Dennis Snyder and wife Janet of Midland, Texas, Richard Snyder and wife Jimmy Lou Snyder of Lake Tawakoni, Tx, Mickey Snyder and wife Julia of Dallas, Tx.

Grandchildren Ryan Taylor, Myia Taylor Scott, Kelly Snyder, Brooks Jackson, Todd Snyder, Stephanne Ramage, Dede Allen, nephews Robert Carter, Larry Carter, Dee Kent Carter, niece Valerie Kyle, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Home Instead and her caregiver Allie. We would also like to thank James, Stephanne and Sandy Ramage for their love and care.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2pm on February 19th at Sunset Memorial Gardens Odessa, Tx. Pastor Robert Carter from Grove Baptist Church, Grove Okla officiating.
