Grady Robert “Bob” Sanford, 92, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, in the Chapel at Crossroads Fellowship, with David Newton officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Funeral Home.
Bob was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, to Charles and Grace Sanford on May 23, 1933. He attended school in Santa Rosa and graduated from New Mexico State University (formerly A&M). In June 1954, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Sally Henry, beginning a marriage that spanned 72 years. He worked as a chemical engineer and retired as a manager from Huntsman in 1998 after 30 years of dedicated service.
A faithful servant of God, Bob served his church community in many roles throughout his life. With a natural gift for building and repairing, he shared his talents generously—volunteering with Emmaus and Habitat for Humanity, supporting mission trips, and tackling projects for friends and family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Grace Sanford; his brother, Charles Sanford Jr.; and his daughter, Brenda Sanford Tipton.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Sally Sanford; children Beverly and Wayne Hall of Odessa, TX, and Bobby and Wendy Sanford of Sweetwater, TX; grandchildren Chad Hall, Michelle Mowry, Hart Mowry, Lucas Johnson, Chase Hall, Robert Sanford, Clint Hall, and Megan Mowry; and many great-grandchildren.
