Gracie Ellen Willis

Gracie Ellen Willis was age 84 when her journey on this earth ended. She passed at her residence in Odessa, TX, on April 1, 2024. 

Gracie was born on October 28, 1939, to Fred Oren Wilson Sr. and Madie Belle Wilson in Athens, TX. She married Elmer Dee Willis on March 19, 1955, in Odessa, TX. She was a homemaker while the children were home. She then went to work for Sears for many years. 

Gracie loved going to church where she helped in any way needed, spending quality time with family, watching football, having her hair done, listening to gospel and instrumental music, playing dominos, and going shopping. Gracie saw the best in everyone and opened her heart to all. If you knew her, you felt the love. She loved others deeply!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Oren Wilson Sr. and Madie Wilson; siblings, Fred Oren Wilson Jr., Tommy Joe Wilson, Don Albert Wilson, Doyle MacArthur Wilson, and Joyce Stump and spouse Elmer Dee Willis. 

She is survived by brother-in-law, William Stump; children, Sharon Moseley and husband Kenneth, William Willis and wife Rita, and Perry Willis; grandchildren, Phillip Moseley, Nathan Moseley and wife Lindsey, Christina Poyner and husband Jason, Jason Willis, Johnathan Willis and wife Blair, Amber Edomwonyi and husband Frank, Jill Crocker and husband Greg, Keith Willis and wife Mariah, and Adam Moseley; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Gregory, Britnee Moseley, Keisha Edomwonyi, Treyvon Edomwonyi, Madie Moseley, Brooklyn Edomwonyi, Micah Edomwonyi, Johnathan Willis Jr., Grayson Crocker, and Jace Crocker; and great-great-grandchildren, Paislee Christensen and Harper Christensen; as well as many amazing nieces and nephews. 

Special thanks to the Gentiva Hospice nurses and to the nieces who were there in a time of need. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home with Dr. Michelle Tanner, LPC-S officiating the service and graveside.
