Gary Stewart age 81 passed away on Tuesday June 9th in Odessa, Tx.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday June 16th at 6-8pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday June 17th at 10 am followed by burial services and arrangements by Sunset memorials gardens.

Gary Stewart was born in San Angelo, Tx to Hollis and Lois Stewart on July 14, 1944.

He married Judy Mitchell Stewart on July 11, 1969 in San Angelo, Tx.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Judy Stewart. His parents Hollis and Lois Stewart.

He is survived by one daughter Naomi Simons of Odessa, Tx . Brother Rodney Stewart of Odessa, Tx and Sister Prescilla Goodjoin with husband Jim Goodjoin of San Antonio, Tx

Two Grandsons Zachary Simons with girlfriend Shannon Wright of Round Rock, Tx and and Skylar Simons with girlfriend Lexy Logston of Spring, Tx

He was retired from Ector County Felony Probation Department in Odessa, Tx.

He lived a good life and he was a loving husband and devoted father. He always strived to provide for his family. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He was well respected by numerous members of the community who knew him. As my father's health began to fade it became difficult for him because in his heart and mind he was still the independent active man he once remembered being. Days before his passing he told me that the good Lord had him on the last of this journey in life and yet he wished he would let him stay just a little longer but that it is God's hands now.

Dad I will never forget all that you taught me and how you were always there for me throughout my life. Thank you for loving me. You are deeply loved and will be missed, but I know you are with mom, granny and papa now as you rest in our Lord's hands now.
