Connie Coker

Frances “Connie” Coker, 87, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, July 31^st, 2023 in Midland Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Sunset Memorial in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Sunset Memorial with Kim Burge Wimberly, officiating.   Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Connie was born in Fort Stockton, Texas to Merry F. Clark Ryan and Lawrence B. Ryan on November 16, 1935.  She graduated from Fort Stockton High School, where she was a cheerleader and drum major.  She married Roger M. Coker on June 4, 1954 in Fort Stockton, TX. She was a stay home wife & mother for a number of years.  When she did join the work force, she was a Night Manager for Woolco and later an Administrative Assistant in Odessa for Dual Drilling. She later joined the sales team at Dunlaps in Odessa where she worked until retirement.   She was involved in her Church, Sherwood Baptist of Odessa for a number of years. 

Connie is preceded in death by her Parents, brother, L.B. Ryan, a sister Imogene Ryan and a number of Aunts & Uncles.

Connie is survived by 4 Daughters, Shirlee Coker Tooke & spouse Joe Tooke, Merry Coker Marshall & spouse Terry Marshall, Meggie Coker Greathouse, Melissa Coker Black. Survived by grandchildren, Kristin Tooke Anderson, Kyndle Tooke Farrell, Michele Marshall Faulkner, Terren Marshall Cheesbro, Russell Greathouse, Shawna Greathouse Yonker, Zachary Black, MacKenzy Black and great-Grandchildren, Mia, Jonah, Lorelia & Sunday Anderson, Teagan & Jolee Farrell, Kayleigh, Kyle & Kody Cheesbro, Bryleigh Faulkner, Aaron & Shayne Greathouse and Elijah Yonker.

Pallbearers will be Joe Tooke, Terry Marshall, Russell Greathouse, Zachary Black, Rusty Faulkner & Kyle Cheesbro.
