Flossie Dunlap

Flossie Dunlap, 99, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Medical Center Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Wedneday, December 28, 2022.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with David Burton of Sherwood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Flossie was born in Tom Bean, Texas, on February 20, 1923, to Clyde and Esta Harmon.  She graduated from Bells High School in Bells, Texas, in 1941.  She married J.B. Dunlap on May 6, 1942 and remained married to him until his death in 2008. She worked as an Avon Lady in the Permian Basin for many, many years.   In earlier years, she was very active with her membership in Sherwood Church of Christ. She was the epitome of a sweet lady to all that she met and encountered.  She will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Dunlap; sons, James Harmon Dunlap and Jay Kenney Dunlap; grandson, Jeremy Dustin Dunlap; and sisters, Mary McKnight and Meta Troutz.

She is survived by sons, Garry Dunlap and his wife, Mary, Dennis Dunlap and his wife, Ivy Steele; sister, Wanda Mims and grandchildren, Shelby Dunlap and his wife, Linda, Mallory Dunlap, Cody Cross, JonMikal Mosher and his wife Emily, and Oleta Schranz, numerous nieces and nephews and 9 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Garry Dunlap, Dennis Dunlap, Shelby Dunlap, David Vaughn, James Mims and JonMikal Mosher.
