Deacon Flabio "Fly" Franco, a devout servant of God and beloved member of the
Odessa, TX community, peacefully passed away on March 20, 2024. He was
surrounded by the love of his family at the time of his passing.
Flabio was born on August 9, 1957, in Odessa, TX, to the late Pablo and Bertha
Franco. He was raised in a home filled with love, faith, and strong family values.
On September 5, 1975, Flabio entered into a sacred union with his beloved
Priscilla Quiroz, marking the beginning of a journey filled with love and
companionship that endured for almost five decades.
Flabio answered the call to serve the Catholic Church and was ordained as a
Deacon on August 23, 2005. Throughout his years of ministry, he touched the
hearts of many with his unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to St.
Joseph’s and St. Anthony’s church community. His service as a Deacon was
marked by his genuine care for others and his commitment to spreading the
message of God's love.
Above all, Flabio cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather who found immense joy in spending time with
his loved ones. He took great pride in attending the athletic events of his
grandchildren and great-grandson, where he cheered them on with pride and
sometimes a bit of sarcasm.
Flabio is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Bertha Franco, his brother
Hugo Franco, his granddaughter Brianna Marissa, and many other relatives who
have passed before him.
Flabio leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever be cherished by
his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Priscilla Franco, his loving
daughters Jennifer Rios (Robert) and Jessica Dominguez (Jason). He will be
deeply missed by his grandchildren Victoria Guadarrama (Mike), Brianna,
Brandon, Ryan, Robinne, Dallas, Austin, and his great-grandchildren Jaxon,
Jalen, Jack and Houston. Flabio is also survived by his brother Orlando Franco,
sister Minnie Sustaita, and many cherished family members.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Interim Healthcare Hospice for their
compassionate care during Flabio's final days.
Visitation to pay respects to Deacon Flabio Franco will be held at Sunset
Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26th followed by a
Rosary at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on
Wednesday, March 27th at 1:00 pm. Bishop Michael Sis will be officiating with Father Frank Chavez and
Father David Herrera assisting.
Cremation burial will take place at a later date, per his wishes.

Flabio's life will be celebrated and remembered by all those whose lives he
touched. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his loved ones in the arms of
our Heavenly Father.
We have faith that he was received by our Lord, Jesus Christ and told, “Well
done, good and faithful servant!
