Fae Louise Harrington Jones
May 23, 1938 – January 17, 2026
Fae Louise Harrington Jones entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends as she was welcomed into her eternal home.
Fae was born on May 23, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana. Her family later relocated to Odessa, Texas, where she grew up and graduated from Odessa High School in 1956. A lifelong student and lover of music, she continued her education at Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida, graduating in 1977, and later earned her Master’s degree in Music from Texas Tech University.
A woman of profound faith and service, Fae spent her life glorifying God through her musical gifts. As a pastor’s wife, she served the church faithfully, playing the piano and organ and directing choirs. Her passion for music extended into the community, where she served for many years as an elementary school music teacher in both Louisiana and Texas. Her influence continues to bless the lives of the many students she taught and inspired.
Fae will be remembered as one of the most selfless, generous, and loving souls to grace the lives of those who knew her. She lived a life rooted in faith and devotion to her family. She married her first and only love, Rev. Charles “Chuck” Jones, and together they raised three sons. Fae was a living testimony of the Gospel, embodying the spirit of Proverbs 31:28: “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Beyond her music and teaching, Fae was a gifted seamstress and an avid "junker." She found great joy in the hunt of garage sales and estate sales, always seeking out hidden treasures. She was a remarkable woman who saw the best in everyone and spoke only with kindness.
Fae was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. “Bill” and Louise Harrington; her beloved husband, Charles “Chuck” Jones; her dear sister, Lenore Nischik; and her cherished grandson, Mark “Marky” Jones.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Mark and Alison Jones of Odessa, TX; Paul and Kattia Jones of Cochabamba, Bolivia; and David and Lisa Jones of Odessa, TX. She is also survived by her two brothers and their wives: Bill and Peggy Harrington of Gary, Indiana, and John and Donna Harrington of Midland, Texas; and her treasured grandchildren, Tabitha Jones and David Jones.
The family rejoices in knowing that Fae now rests in eternal glory, embraced by her Savior and hearing the words she lived her life for: “Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:23).
