Eva Maeola Kasparek

Eva “Maeola” Kasparek, 91, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2024, in Midland, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Maeola was born in Bogata, Texas to Mary (Fuller) and Johnny Presswood on March 13, 1933. She was a business owner (Ace Pawn Shop and Used Furniture) and entrepreneur. She was also a member of Terrace Hills Baptist Church and Redemption Church. Maeola lived her life for her children and grandchildren, and she loved them all unconditionally. 

Maeola is preceded in death by both of her parents; her sister, Joy; and two husbands.

She is survived by one husband; sister, Mary Lou Dobbs; her son, Jessie Geers and his wife, Alison; her daughter, Mary Davis and husband Don; her son, and Jack Geers and his wife Donna. She also survived by grandchildren, Trace Geers, Colton Geers, Kyler Davis, Holly Davis, and Cutter Geers and his wife, Kaylee.
