Eugene "Gene" Baker

Eugene “Gene” T. Baker, age 79, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at his home in Odessa, Texas.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Gene was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Eldon and Elsie Baker on November 23, 1941. He married Janet Farris on April 26, 1968, in Chickasha. He graduated from Chickasha High School in 1962 and attended Central State University. Most of Genes work life was in sales and management in oil field supply. He retired from Motion Industry in 2010. Gene was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force Reserves. Gene was a member of St. Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and he loved his God and his family, motorcycles, tennis, golf, shooting, softball, his puppies, and Lake Tenkiller.

Gene is preceded in death by his son, Matt Baker; and parents, Eldon and Elsie Baker.

Gene is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Baker; sons, Bret Baker and wife Lisa Baker, Justin Baker and wife Morgan Chaivre; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Ralph Morgan; and granddaughters, Keri Moore and Lauren Baker.
