Elpidia Hernandez, 85, of Odessa Texas, passed away on July 12th,2026 in Odessa Texas.
Rosary and visitation will take place at 5pm to 8pm on Thursday July 16th, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Garden.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday July 16th, 2026 at Holy Redeemer with Reverend Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Elpidia Hernandez was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, to Epifanio and Victoria Juarez on March 4, 1941. She married Vicente Hernandez in October of 1960 where they spent 65 years together in a strong, loving marriage. Her life as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother was well-lived. She was a loving and nurturing mother to 3 beloved children, and that love and nurturance continued throughout her life in the way she cherished all of her grandchildren and other family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic dedicated to her faith.
Elpidia Hernandez is preceded in death by parents Epifanio and Victoria Juarez, sisters Manuela Juarez Guajardo, Balbina Juarez, Guadalupe Chavez, and Magdalena Juarez, and grandson Joseph Hernandez.
Elpidia Hernandez is survived by her husband Vicente Hernandez. Her daughter Elsa Caballero, son and daughter in law Rick and Lily Hernandez, son and daughter in law Samuel and Magali Hernandez. Grandsons Michael and Jessica Caballero, Adrian and Marina Caballero, Angel and Yesenia Hernandez, Josh and Ashley Fox, and Chris Fox. Granddaughters Stacy and Pedro Molina, Ilyscia Hernandez, and Samantha and Gavin Chapman. Great grandsons Pete Molina, Ben Molina and wife Jessica , Sebastian Molina, Ayven Molina, Wyatt Caballero, Kellan Caballero, Jeremiah Fox, Jaxxon Fox, Jagger Fox. Great granddaughters Jennifer Molina, Jordan Alba, Avery Caballero, Camila Caballero, Jozlynn Fox, Aivaa Hernandez, Arabella Hernandez, Alyzae Villareal, Cambrey White.
Pallbearers will be Angel Hernandez, Micheal Caballero, Pete Molina, Ben Molina, Sebastian Molina, Josh Fox, Chris Fox, and honorary pallbearer Adrian Caballero.
Memorials may be given to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
The family of Elpidia Hernandez wishes to extend sincere thanks to Midland Hospice nurses Bernadette and Louisa, nurses aid Sulema, Dr. Santiago Giraldo, and Social workers Mary Lou and Zelda.
