Edith Cook

Edith Cook. 89, of Odessa Texas., passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Sienna Nursing Home. She was born August 30, 1918 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Frank and Winnie Boland. She married Norvin James Cook in July, 1935. She was a longtime resident of Odessa and retired from Woolco in 1982

Edith was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and Noland Boland of Mesquite TX and her husband Norvin James.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Bob Cook and wife Janett, Frank and wife Jan, John and wife Jane. Five grandchildren, Michael Cook, Laura Gardner, and husband Mark, Cassie Francisco, and husband James, Bryan Cook and wife Olivia, Kelley Evenson and husband Eric, all of Odessa, six great-grand children and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Mike Cook, Bryan Cook, Jarred Matthews, James Francisco, Matthew Francisco and Mark Gardner.

Services will be held on Friday February 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
