Diana Chavez

Diana Chavez, 63 years old, of Odessa, TX, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at her Residence with her husband and boys by her side.

Visitation and a Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM, a funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Odessa, TX, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with Father Bernard officiating.

Diana Chavez was born in Stanton, TX, to Rosales M. Hernandez and Josefine S. Hernandez on July 5, 1960. She attended Odessa High School. Diana met the love of her life at 15 years old. Diana married Hipolito Chavez on February 2, 1976, in Carrizo Springs, TX. They began their new chapter and welcomed a beautiful growing family.

Diana Chavez is proceeded in death by her son, Francisco Chavez; her father, Rosales Hernandez; And her mother, Josefine Hernandez.

Diana Chavez is survived by her husband, Hipolito Chavez; sons, Hipolito III and wife Hannah Chavez from Odessa, TX, Diego and wife Rita Chavez from Minnesota, Federico and wife Brianna Chavez from Odessa, TX, and Marc Chavez from Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Reneé, Lena, Brooklyn, Rhien Cash, Dominica, Angelina, Diego, Emilio, Haley, Alexis, Barrett, and Whitten Chavez.

Pallbearers will be Hipolito Chavez III, Federico Chavez, Marc Chavez, Carlos Quintero, John Morris, and Hector Garcia.

The family of Diana Chavez would like to send a special thanks to our friends and family for keeping us in prayer during this difficult time.

Diana was a compassionate person who lived for her family and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed but knowing she is with our Lord and Savior is what gives us peace. Thank you all for your prayers during this difficult time.
