Dennis K Vestal 77 of Lubbock Tx, Passed away on September 14, 2026 in Odessa Tx.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday September 19 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Michael Vestal of Temple Baptist Church Mexia Tx. Officiating, Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Dennis Vestal was born in Muskogee Oklahoma to Lois and Mozell Vestal on February 10, 1949. The family moved to Levelland Tx. where his dad owned and operated the Sun down Newspaper. He then moved to Odessa in 1953 and went to Odessa High and Permian High School.

Dennis then married the love of his life of 57 years Connie Dee Nelms in Odessa Tx. He was a Veteran in The United States Army, did basic training at Fort Bliss, El Paso Tx, them went to radio operators’ school in Ft Huachuca, Arizona. Later to be stationed in Stuttgart Germany where he was honorably discharged in 1971. He came back home to Odessa Tx. And started his family with wife Connie Vestal son Scott Vestal and daughter Dedra Vestal.

Dennis attended Odessa collage to pursue his lifelong carrier as a machinist of over 40 plus years. He loved being able to make things for the oil and gas industry. Then he took a sales position at Iscar Metals, helping shops and other fellow machinist use cutting tools to optimize machining abilities, his last few years he spent with MRS PT Solutions with the same goals in mind.

Dennis was a true family man he loved his family with all his heart and always went out of his way to help anyone that he could. His favorite times were enjoying family time such as going to watch his family play sports which he never much missed. He loved to go camping and spending time outdoors in his RV. Fishing was his favorite past time, and also liked to hunt when he got the opportunity. Most of all he loved to spend time trout fishing in Red River, New Mexico.

Preceding Dennis in death is his parents Lois and Mozell Vestal, wife Connie Vestal and daughter Dedra Vickers.

Son Scott and wife Krystyna Vestal, son in law Jason Vickers, brother Michael and wife Joy Vestal, brother Fred and wife Cheryl Vestal, brother in law Steve and wife Tina Nelms, Grandchildren Tyler Vestal, Tanner Vestal, Holley Vickers, Paige and Chance Hopson, Samantha and Koy Richarson, Kyle and Katy Vickers, Makayla Reynolds, Great Grandchildren Easton, Hudson, Colson, Cambry, Rene, Mayci, niece’s and nephew’s Sean, Stephen, Amanda, Freddy, Tony, Jennifer, Rod, Gabbie, Denver, Stevie, and a host of family and friends.
