Dennis Johnson

Dennis Richard Johnson, age 73, of Odessa, TX, passed away of natural causes, Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, TX, 79762, with Pastor Dave Menefee officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Dennis was born January 20, 1945 to Richard and Dorothy Johnson in Temple, TX. He graduated from Bel Air High School in El Paso, TX. Dennis served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Sargent in November of 1971. Dennis worked for many years at Albertson's and was active in his church, First Church of the Nazarene, 2225 Lyndale.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Karen Sanford and Shirley Luckett; five nieces, Susan Byers, Marcie Justice, Ginger Dickens, Daria Luckett and Mary Luckett.

Pallbearers will be as follows: Randy Twilligear, Rick Twilligear, Dave Parker, Dini Smith, Pete Estorga and Nhi Nguyen.

The Luckett's and Sanford's extend sincere thanks for his many church friends, and to his regular coffee group for their kindness.
