Dawn A Whitlock

Born June 6, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois to Bill and Mabel Wisner, Dawn Whitlock was a much-loved daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was her daddy’s girl, and her mother’s best friend.

Her family moved to Westmont, IL to Crystal Beach, FL in 1942; Dawn graduated from Tarpon Springs Senior High School in 1952, went to beauty school, and opened her own salon, Fashion & Flair, shortly thereafter. In 1956, Dawn’s first child, Sandy, was born, then in 1958, Mike came along. By 1963, Dawn was married to Harold Whitlock, and Donna was born in 1964.

Dawn sewed clothes for the family, made birthdays special, hosted countless family get togethers, made their house a home on a shoestring budget, but most importantly she made sure they were at church every time the doors were open because she loved her family. She was involved in the ladies’ Sunday School class and made lifelong friends with many women who mentored her as a young Christian.

Dawn is survived by Sandra Scott (Cory), Michael Whitlock (Karen), Donna Swinney (Darren), grandchildren: Jessica, Renee, David, Chayli, Amy, Rachel, Danielle, Anna, Michael, Matthew, Abigail, and Michael; greatgrandchildren: Gavin, Vivienne, Tallulah, Rosie, Madyson, Audrey, Noah, Hannah, Michael, Jaedyn, Wiley, Scarlet, Gabriel, Salome, Malachi, Eliora, William, Katelyn, Annalise, Ella, Cris, Sarah, Gregory, Alexia, Charlotte, Gabriel, Amelia, Carter, and Cooper.

Dawn leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well lived.
