Dawn Michele Pierce

Michele Pierce, 63, of Odessa, passed away on May 21, 2025 in Odessa, TX following a prolonged illness, surrounded by family.

Michele was born in Odessa to Mitchell and Peggy Haller on January 29,1962. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1980 and married her beloved husband, Charles Pierce, on November 1, 1980, in Odessa. Michele was known for her deep love for her family, especially her four grandbabies and never missing an episode of Days of Our Lives. She dedicated over 35 years working in Insurance Sales and as an Office Manager at State Farm Insurance. Michele was adored by her customers, many of whom stayed in touch long after her retirement.

Michele is preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Peggy Haller.

Michele is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles Pierce; her children Jennifer Shipman and husband, Bret Shipman, and Scott Pierce and wife, Chrisha Pierce; her brother, Sherman Haller and wife, Robbi Haller; and cherished grandchildren, Emaleigh Shipman, Remington Shipman, Charlotte Pierce, and Madelyn Pierce. Additionally, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Pallbearers will be Remington Shipman, Wesley Aiken, Kenny Kiphart, Bailey Haller, Blake Haller and Kris Adams.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, also at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Terry Davis of Love & Care Ministries, officiating. Michele will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
