Damiana Celaya Lopez, 72, of Marathon TX, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Midland TX.
Damiana's greatest joy was her family, who brought her endless happiness and cherished memories. We love her deeply, and her spirit will forever be in our hearts, guiding us through the days ahead. Her laughter and kindness will always resonate with us, reminding us of the beautiful moments we shared together. We will hold onto her legacy and keep her memory alive in everything we do.
Rosary will be at 9:30 AM on April 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church,403 S Main St, Fort Stockton, TX 79735.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on April 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 403 S Main St, Fort Stockton, TX 79735, with the Father Francis of Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Damiana Celaya Lopez was born in Marathon, TX to Guadalupe & Rosa Celaya on February 23, 1953. Damiana went to school in Marathon, TX, and married the love of her life Mario I. Lopez Jr. in Marathon.
Damiana is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe & Rosa Celaya of Marathon, TX; her siblings, Donaciano Celaya, Marcos Celaya, Castulo Celaya, and Julia Sanchez.
Damiana is survived by her husband, Mario I. Lopez Jr. of Ft. Stockton, TX of 49 years; children, Sion Lopez & Karla Gonzalez with grandchildren, Kristyna Gonzalez and Khaleesi Lopez of Odessa, TX. Christopher Lopez of Greenwood, TX. Rosanna and Edgar Montes with grandchildren, Ian (Madelyn Martinez) and Shaun Montes of Greenwood, TX.
Siblings, Locario Celaya of Marathon, TX, Juan Celaya of Casa Grande, AZ, Carlos Celaya of Phoenix, AZ, Valente Celaya of Casa Grande, AZ, Margarito Celaya of Alpine, TX, Petra Garcia of Stanfield, AZ, Delfina Diaz of Amarillo, TX.
