Cristina Montes-Rayos

Cristina Montes Rayos, 52, passed away on December 4, 2021, in Midland, TX.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Marcus Zuniga officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Cristina was born in Presidio, TX to Manuel Montes and Marcela Gonzales on July 25, 1969.  She married Cruz Rayos on December 25, 1989, in Odessa, TX.  She was full of laughter and loved to cook and feed everyone, especially to drink coffee with her sisters. She was never afraid to do what she wanted to do and say what was on her mind. She was loved by all. She was a battle warrior.

Cristina is preceded in death by both parents; her son, Angel Rayos; her three brothers, Porfirio Garza, Rogelio Garza, and Eugenio Garza; and her sister, Dolores Montes.

Cristina is survived by her husband, Cruz Rayos; children, Emanuel Muela and spouse Lucy Muela, Edgar Montes, Krystal Hinojos and spouse Victor Hinojos, Nancy and spouse Armando Garcia, Jr. and spouse Viviana Rayos, Joseph and spouse Candy Rayos, Rebecca Rayos, Joshua and spouse Kristian Rayos, and Amy Rayos; brothers/sisters, Rosario Garza, Irma Garza, Marcela Garza, Gloria Alvarez, Victor Garza, Jose Alfredo Gonzalez, Irina Juarez, Alma Tercero, Manuel Montes, and Lupe Montes; grandchildren, Saraí Hinojos, Mariana Muela, Edgar Montes Jr., Joel Rayos, Noah Rayos, Moses Rayos, Jenisee Rayos, Jenisi Rayos, Adam Rayos, Oliva Rayos, Hanna Rayos, Isabella Rayos, Duke Rayos, Elijah Vasquez, Joey Vasquez, Ethan Vasquez, Emma Rayos, Citalie Garcia, Anavelee Rayos, Analiza Rayos, Analizett Rayos, Jazmin Rayos, Adriana Rayos, Daisy Rayos, and Cassandra Rayos.

Pallbearer will be Joel Rayos, Noah Rayos, Jimmy Alvarez, Auden Tercero, Jr. Tercero, Juan Juarez, Gilberto Juarez, and Marcos Renteria Jr.
