Craig Davis Brazell, 68, of Midland rose to be with his Savior on Friday, April 28, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in McCamey, Texas, on April 14, 1955, to Bobby and Saralu Brazell. He received his high school diploma from Odessa High School in 1973.

His lifelong profession was in the oil field where he eventually retired from Conoco Phillips after 30+ years. Craig accepted Christ in June of 1978. He loved hunting, fishing, spending time at the lake or the mountains and spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Saralu Brazell; brother, Greg (Dilly) Brazell; and his sister, Malinda Harris.

Craig is survived by Joe Brazell and wife Brandi of Odessa, Jill Shipley and husband Justin of Lubbock, Sara Brown and husband Barrett of Odessa; aunt, Jeanne Bryan and husband Terry of San Angelo; brothers, Kyle Brazell and wife Pam of Beaumont, Delton Brazell and wife Jan of Fort Worth, Denton and partner Brad of San Diego; grandchildren, Reece and Rowan Brazell of Odessa, Brandon and Brylee Shipley of Lubbock, and J.C. Brown of Odessa.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.

Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
