Claude Lamar Lee, Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Claude Lamar Lee, SR. announces his passing on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was 81 years old and a resident of Odessa, TX. 

Claude was born in Hattiesburg, MS on June 15, 1943, and came to his new home in Odessa, TX in 1976. He was a salesman by trade and retired from Freightliner of Odessa where he was the truck sales manager. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Lellon Lee and Margie Lee. Also preceded in death by his wife Sandra Ascue Lee. Claude was an awesome dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed very much by all. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Permian Basin Oil Burners, Chapter of Vintage Motor Car Club of America.

Claude is survived by sons, Chuck Lee and wife Kisa of Odessa, Joey Lee and wife Julie of Odessa; daughter, Donna Bishop of Mobile, AL; stepson, Charles Hardwick of Odessa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Claude is also survived by 2 brothers, 7 sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2024. His memorial service will be at North side Baptist Church in Odessa at 3 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2024. Services will be officiated by Pastor Clydell Chapman. Graveside services will be at Pecan Grove Cemetery in Dublin, TX on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. 

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kendahl Lee, Dillyn Lee, Logan Lee, CJ Lee, Jordan Lee and Brenden Clanton. 

The family would like to say thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Odessa Regional Hospital for the care and compassion during our dad’s stay there.
