Celia Munoz, a loving and caring soul, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in her hometown of Odessa, Texas. She was 66 years old. Celia was surrounded by her family, who will forever cherish her memory and her loving heart.
Born on July 14, 1959, Celia dedicated her life to helping others and spreading happiness. She was a graduate of Ector High School and enjoyed a long career as a bookkeeper and accountant. She found enormous joy in her work, serving various businesses throughout the West Texas area, most recently with Harrell & Lupardus. Not only did Celia have a successful career, she also volunteered with the local Cancer Society for many years. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of a warm cup of coffee and a good book. Her true passion, however, was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was happiest when she was with them, and they brought immeasurable joy to her life. Celia also had a deep faith and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa, where she enjoyed time with her church family.
Celia is survived by her son, Arturo Munoz III and daughter in law Inez; her daughter Diana Molina: and her beloved grandchildren, Aeramaya, Logan, Jaxon, Liam and Maddison. She leaves behind her her brothers Eddie Gonzales and his wife Oliva, and David Gonzales; and her sisters Rebecca Gonzales and Rose Gonzales. Also her brother in laws Joe Munoz, Danny Munoz and wife Josie, Dr. Rick Munoz and wife Georgina. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Arturo Munoz Jr, her father and mother, Daniel and Francis Gonzales, her brothers Johnny and Ruben Gonzales and her father in law,Arturo Munoz Sr.
