Cathrine Ann Foster

Cathrine Ann Foster, née Scott, of Odessa, Texas, peacefully gained her wings on May 27, 2026. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Services will be livestreamed for family and friends who are unable to attend in person.

Cathy was born on October 9, 1953, in Overton, Texas, to George R. Scott Sr. and Joyce Scott, née Eschberger. She was the youngest of their children and brought joy and laughter to those around her throughout her life.

Cathy spent most of her life in Odessa, where she attended Permian High School. On July 30, 1971, she married the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Foster. Their marriage was filled with love, devotion, and family, and they remained together until Jimmy’s passing on May 29, 2017. Together, they raised three daughters: Lacrisia Tolifson, Angelia Foster, and Leslie Foster.

Cathy worked for many years at Odessa Camera Center alongside her brother George and sister-in-law, Rune’, until her retirement in 2010. She took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She especially loved decorating for the holidays, making every season feel special and full of love for her children and grandchildren.

More than anything, Cathy cherished her family. She loved deeply, gave generously, and created countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, George R. Scott Sr. and Joyce Scott; her beloved husband, James Foster; her nephews, Anthony Seider and John Scott; her brothers-in-law, Jack Seider and Ricky Foster; and her dear friend, Judy Brune.

She is survived by her daughters, Lacrisia Tolifson (Troy), Angelia Foster, and Leslie Foster; her siblings, George R. Scott Jr. (Rune’), Carmon Seider, Wayne Scott (Cynthia), Sam Scott (Nancye), and David Scott; her grandchildren, Gerald Tolifson (Sydney), Jacob Tolifson, Nick Tolifson, Regan Tolifson, Riley Foster, and Caleb Nwaokelemeh; her great-grandchildren, Ford Tolifson, Madilyn Tolifson, Emma Tolifson, and Evan Tolifson; her sister-in-law, Jacki Foster; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nimat Alam and Dr. Ronald Gibbons for the compassion and care they provided Cathy over the last several years.

Cathy’s kindness, love, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
