Brenda Gray Hurtt

Brenda Gray Hurtt was born March 12, 1953, and left us to be with the Lord February 9, 2024. 

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Burwell and husband Jessie Foster of Odessa; her sister, Cathie Huckabee of Colorado. She left behind her husband, John Hurtt; her daughter, Dawn Roedel and husband Joe Roedel; stepdaughter, Ember Hurtt; grandchildren, Cody Gray and wife Shawna Gray, Brooke Lepard and husband J J Lepard, Megan Carroll, Nate and Becca Roedel, Poppy Hurtt, Carlos and April Tavarez; great grandchildren, Chloe Gray, Braxton and Makayla Gray, Scarlet Lepard, and Jasper Hodgins.

Too many others to list that called her Nan. She was in oilfield sales for many years, meeting lots of people and making lots of friends as she did in daily life whether it was at the grocery store or gas station, anywhere she went people were drawn to her. She loved to paint and share her work with others. She was an avid antique collector and had an eclectic eye. She will be in our hearts until we meet again. She truly was a light that shined on all of our lives.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 16, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
