In Honor of Bonnie Elizabeth Griffis Thetford

Bonnie was born on December 29, 1931, to Emma Reeves Griffis and Daniel Griffis in Ducor, California, and died on December 21, 2025.

Bonnie grew up in the Porterville California area and married her high school sweetheart, Leroy Thetford on October 11, 1952. Bonnie worked for a few years as a switchboard operator and later as an elementary school teacher’s aide in Palmdale, CA.

Bonnie also lived in Captain, NM, Roswell, NM, and Odessa, TX, where she remained a faithful Christian, active in the Church of Christ as a Children’s Bible school teacher and world Bible school correspondent. She loved to host barbeques, quilt, crochet, and play cards.

Bonnie’s family includes her three children and their spouses: Richard and Malinda Thetford, Deborah and Jim Hays, and Linda and Clayton Dennis.

Bonnie has eleven grandchildren: Daniel, Kristen, Caleb and Kaleen Thetford; Michelle and Anthony Duran, James Hays; and Joshua, Zachary, Alexandria, and Jayden Dennis. She also has seven great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was a good wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed.

There are no services scheduled at this time. The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
