Dear Family and Friends,
It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of Bob Ward, who was born on June 23, 1938, and went to a better place on April 20, 2026. Bob was preceded in passing by his loving wife, Cathy Hocket and their daughter Cindy Lewis, his great-grandson Dalton Lewis, his mother Helen Strawn, his twin sister Clara Manson, and her husband Kenneth Baucom. Bob’s memory lives on in his brother Ben Strawn, sister Kay Abinante, son Jimmy Ward and his wife Jana, daughter Karen Ward, as well as in his cherished grandchildren Christy Lewis, Randy Lewis, and his Wife Dina, Justine and Danie Vaughn, Tara Duley, and great-grandchildren Joshua, Colton, Gwen, Finn, Tucker, and Carson.
Bob’s passion for pumps was legendary—no matter where they went, spotting a pump in someone’s yard always sparked his curiosity. Often, he’d ask, “Should I turn around to check it out?” It was more than a hobby; it was a way of seeing the world. Bob also loved playing bingo, always eager to have someone join him so he could play your cards as well as his own, turning every game into a shared experience.
Above all, Bob loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent together. His warmth, humor, and unique interests will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. We will carry forward Bob’s spirit and the many wonderful memories he gave us.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 8, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
With love and remembrance,
The Ward Family.
