Bob Childress

Bob Childress, age 52, of Gardendale, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Gardendale.

He was born September 8, 1960 in Pasadena, Texas to Bobby Dean Childress, Sr. and Marvis Elizabeth Freeman Childress. He graduated from high school in Richardson, Texas. On January 21, 2004, he married Kimberlin Elizabeth Rule in Bakersfield, California. He was employed with TXU Energy.

Survivors include his wife Kimberlin Childress of Gardendale his children, Adam Christopher Childress, Amanda Caye Childress and Amber Christine Childress, all of Dallas his stepson, Matthew Zelinka of Gilbert, Arizona his parents, Bob and Marvis Childress of Midland his brothers, James Edward Childress and wife Laura and John Allison Childress and wife Carol, all of Katy, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Monday, May 6, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene with Terry Pierce officiating.
