Billy Norman Clark

Billy Norman Clark, 72, of Odessa, TX passed away on January 30, 2024.

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Craig Clark of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home

Billy was born in Odessa, Texas, the third child to R.T. (Bill) and Norma Phillips Clark on July 1, 1951. He was a 1969 graduate of Odessa High School and was a Marine from 1970-1973 serving in Vietnam and rising to the rank of sergeant. He served a total of 40 years as a peace officer, six years at Odessa Police Department. The last 34 years of his career was at the Ector County Sherriff’s Department where he retired in 2015 as Inspector. Additionally, he was part of a security detail who provided private security for Ellen Noel for over 20 years.  

He married Traci King on November 17, 1977 in Odessa, Texas. Together they had three children. Jeremy, Kristy, and Anthony who were all born and raised in Odessa Tx.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents R.T. (Bill) and Norma Phillips Clark and his brother, Jerry Phillips Clark, and nephew Cory Hensley.

Billy is survived by his wife, Traci, and children Jeremy and wife, Amanda; Kristy and husband Billy; Anthony and wife Ashley; sister Elaine Clark-Wells and husband Tommy; grandchildren Alexandra and husband Jeremy; Tori; Kristine and husband Caleb; Whitney, Blake, Cohen, Alyssa, Keygan, Benjamin, Trinity, and Jacob; great-grandchildren Amelia, Vincent, and Wyatt; Nephew Michael Dale Clark, Niece Diana (Clark)Blake, Nephews Tracy Adam Clark, and Christopher Craig Clark.
