Betty Marie Chandler

Betty Marie Chandler, 68, of Midland, TX, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Midland, TX. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 29, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, TX.

Betty was born in Loraine, Texas to Charles William and Lois Marie Bale on October 5, 1955. She married Monty Spruill and together they had their sons, Bobby and Justin. Later in life, Betty married Clyde Chandler and they were together until his passing in 2021. She graduated with an associate’s degree from Weatherford College in 1996. She worked as an administrative clerk at the Department of Human Services for many years.

Betty was known for sending cards. She loved to send cards to all her friends and family for every holiday and event. She also loved to send “Good Morning” texts to everyone. Betty also enjoyed reading and collecting Precious Moments keepsakes.

Betty is preceded in death by both of her parents; her first husband, Monty Spruill; second husband, Clyde Chandler; and granddaughter, Kamryn Spruill.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Spruill and his wife Jana, and Justin Spruill and wife Kara; stepsons, Clyde Chandler Jr. and Kyle Chandler; sister, Janet Warren and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Aaliyah Lopez and her husband Agustine, Austin, Brinley, Aubrey, and Brady Spruill, and Trace Livesay. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Augie, Levi, and Olivia Lopez, Kingston Livesay, and Paisley McKellop; nephews, Jake Warren and Matthew Bale; and niece, Sandra Bale.
