Belva Lawson

Belva Lawson, age 82, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend was called to her eternal home on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Belva was born in Ballinger, Texas to Ed and Nettie McMillan on April 18, 1939. She married the love of her life, Bobby Lawson on September 21, 1956. They had 3 children, Lynda, Brenda, and Randy. She was a homemaker until the children started school and then held a variety of jobs throughout her life. But her favorite job was being wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

Belva was a God-fearing woman and was always active in the church wherever they lived.

She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and watching sports, especially the Texas Rangers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed, and Nettie McMillan; husband, Bobby Lawson; son, Randol Lawson; sister, Arveta Matthews; and grandson, Daniel Cardwell.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are daughters, Lynda Nance & husband David, and Brenda Cardwell & husband Mark; grandchildren, Tracee Gollihar & husband John, Erin Lawson, Michelle Prows & husband Chris, Brittany Leming & husband Curtis, Tommy Cardwell & wife Darcy, Jacob Nance, Bobby Cardwell, Kristen Moler & husband Jason, Randee Desilets & husband Mason; 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandkids.
