Barbara Jan Pugh, age 67, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2026.
Jan was born in Odessa, Texas to Tommy and Billie Pugh on April 1, 1958. Jan was the youngest of five children. As a young girl, she was inseparable from her identical twin sister, Ann Sparks. She dedicated over 30 years as an administrative assistant with Texas Electric. Jan was known for her love of softball, golf, fishing, skiing, and watching various sporting events. She particularly valued spending quality time with family and friends. Her life was deeply rooted in her hometown, surrounded by her loved ones, who cherished her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Jan is preceded in death by her father Tommy U. Pugh, mother, Billie J. Bowen Pugh, brother, Bobby G. Pugh, and brother-in-law, Mike L. Sparks.
Jan is survived by her brother Tommy Pugh and wife Carol; sisters Carol Pugh and Ann Sparks; eight nephews and nieces Terra Radtke, Julie Huckabay (Blake) Brandon Pugh (Jackie), Aslyn Aguilar, Bowen Pugh (Teresa), Amberly Healer (Mitchell), Ashley Sparks (Samuel Paz), Matthew Sparks (Jesuly); along with thirteen great-nephews and nieces Madelyn, Brooke, Jake, Ashtyn, Atleigh, Andrew, Cole, Connor, Cameron, Vision, Casey, Liliana, Jazlyn; and one great-great nephew Ivey.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Pugh, Bowen Pugh, Matthew Sparks, Blake Huckabay, Mitchell Healer, and Samuel Paz. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Paz and Jake Huckabay.
Jan’s legacy is one of love and resilience. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. In the quiet moments and in the laughter shared among loved ones, Jan’s joyful heart will remain a comforting presence, reminding all who were touched by her life of the importance of compassion, strength, and togetherness.
