Barbara Carpenter

Barbara Carpenter, age 74, of Brownwood, TX went home to be with Jesus on December 2, 2015.

Barbara was born on November 6, 1941 to Corene and J.W. Banks in Colorado City, TX. She went to school in Midland, TX. She married Lyndall Carpenter on April 14, 1957 in Colorado City, TX. Barbara worked for Philips for 20 years.

Barbara is preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Carpenter, ex-husband, Lyndall Carpenter and her parents, Corene and J.W. Banks.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Carpenter of Brownwood, TX, granddaughter, Haley Hughes and her husband Wyatt Hughes of Brownwood, TX, sister, Carolyn Carpenter of Odessa, TX, brother, Jonny Banks and his wife Cathy Banks of Worthington, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, TX, with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
