Andres Cardenas

Andres Cardenas Platas, 75, of Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rene Chaves of Jehovah Witnesses, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Andres was born in Linares, Nuevo Leon Mexico to Cruz and Angela on July 28, 1947. He was a man of all trades, worked in construction, oil field, and business owner. He was a baptized Jehovah Witness. He enjoyed preaching the word of God and his promise of everlasting life. He also enjoyed visiting friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and helping in any way.

Andres was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Elia Trevino; brother, Abel Cardenas; parents, Cruz Cardenas and Angela Platas.

Andres is survived by his sons, Rolando Cardenas, Andres Cardenas; daughters Yesenia Cardenas, Rocio Cardenas, Haydee Avitia, Bianca Cardenas and Isabella Randolph; grandchildren, Madison Cardenas, Mckinzie Cardenas, Kaitlynn Yuliana, Jazmine Anzures, Alexis, Alyssa, Aile Lopez, Joel, Johaidi Avitia, Yurelia Cardenas, and Jaelynn Godfrey; great grandchildren Leihlia and Levi Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Rolando Cardenas, Andres Cardenas Jr., Rogelio Reyes, Joel Avitia, Joel Avitia, Luis Reyes, Josue Monsevais, and Enrique Monsevias.
