She married Billy Paul Weeden on December 25, 1952, in Andrews. She began her work career at the ice house in Odessa, TX. She continued her education in the office trades. Juanita formed many life-long friendships with "the girls at the office" while working for the city, the bank, retiring from Wood Oil. Their interests moved into show cars and the car club. They were into boating and riding quads. Juanita loved to travel. If she was in the forest, the mountains, the sand dunes or the lake, she was in her happy place. She thrived on adventure and activity.
