Helen Irene Barber, age 82, of Odessa, TX, passed away September 18, 2018 in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1415 Grandview Ave., in Odessa, TX, with Jimmy Braswell officiating.

was born June 25, 1936 to William E. Muldrow and Lavell (Kirkland) Muldrow in Archer City, TX. She started school in Archer City, TX but moved to Monahans, TX where she graduated from Monahans High School. She married Lawrence L. Barber on February 16, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. She graduated from Beauty School in Odessa in the late 1950’s and went to work in Monahans where she owned her own Beauty Shop until 1983.She then worked in Lawrence’s law office where she was in charge of the money. She was a Breast Cancer survivor.

Helen is preceded in death by her father, William E. Muldrow and her mother, Lavell (Kirkland) Muldrow, brothers, W.C. Muldrow and Gene Muldrow, and her son, Billy Wayne Steinman.

Helen is survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Barber, Jr., daughter, Debra Howell and her son, Christopher Howell, daughter, Lisa Barber Koontz and her husband, Frank Koontz, Jeffery Agrew, and daughter, Kaitin Lieremann, brother, James K. Muldrow and his wife, Carla Muldrow, and son, Ken Muldrow, cousin, Lee Myers and her husband, Jim Myers, cousin, Jack Kirkland and his wife, Yvonne Kirkland, and Jaxon, our West Highland Terrier.

Memorials may be given to Breast Cancer Research.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Helen was a Beautiful lady inside and out. She had a heart as big as Texas and was always there for my Momma and myself. Helen will be dearly missed by so many people. She was a very kind lady. I loved her. I pray that God will keep this family in his precious care. Teresa Anthony
