I adored Jan. We were co-workers for 28 years. I enjoyed our talks and laughs. She was a strong woman and loving mother who deserved a long life of happiness. I am so sorry that sickness took her. I know she is getting to have long talks with Jason that she couldn't do here on earth.

I would like to send my deepest condolences. Words alone cannot ease the pain when suffering the loss of a loved one. The Bible can offer comfort when dealing with such painful times. It offers hope as brought out at Revelation 21:4. There we see how the many things in life that causes us pain, including death, will be removed forever. We also have the comfort knowing that we have the opportunity of seeing those we have lost to the enemy death, once again, by means of the resurrection as brought out at Acts 24:15. Please do find solace in this.

Jesus has the already won the battle and the grave has no power in the heart of a believer. We have only fallen asleep in Him who loves us. See you again Jan!

Where to start...first I want to let the family know how very sorry I am for their loss..my heart hurts for you all but I also know that Jan is whole and not in pain any longer. I met Jan about 19 years ago and instantly made a friend. She made my heart smile every time she came in to get her hair done with Sherita. She holds a special place in my heart and for that I am so Blessed to have known her and call her my friend. She was defiantly a fighter. I will hold her smile in my heart forever. Jan I love you Big and you will so be missed. Until we meet again my friend. ♥️ Billie Sue Slocumb.

I was sorry to hear of Jan's passing. I know she'd had a long battle with cancer, but you wouldn't have known it when we saw her at the last reunion. She was so pretty and brightened up the entire room with that gorgeous smile. She was funny and loved to laugh. She will definitely be missed.

God's comfort and blessings upon all those who knew and loved her.

Having Jan as a client for over 30 years, she was a hairdresser's dream. Dependable, hardly ever rescheduled, on time, never complained and then above all there was her grace, smile and laughter that entered the salon! On my worst day, her entrance would turn everything back to joy and reassure me of my choice in my career! We laughed, loved our stories and most of all shared our faith in Jesus. Jan's strength was one of my biggest blessings of our friendship. Jan , you will be in my heart forever, with all my love!

Oh my dear Sweet Friend! I will never forget everything you taught me in the few short years that we had to work hand in hand! I will never forget that we liked and disliked the same exact food. If I spit something out when I tried it, you did to. If I loved something, then we always shared until our stomachs exploded from eating all day. Especially pickles, those were our go to! I will never forget that your FAVORITE food of all time was the Big Mac from McDonalds with a Carmel Iced coffee. And the sauce on the burger was your favorite part! I will never forget the hours and days that you spent coaching me on how to be the best, just like you. It’s the little things I will never forget because you were so strong. No matter what you had going on with your battle you kept going and never stopped. You are and will always be the strongest person I know. And your boys, oh all those boys of yours. They loved you and you loved them. All of Big Red loved you. You are gone but will remain in our hearts forever. You will be greatly missed. Anytime I smell coffee, I will always think of you. Love you Miss Jan.
